The Two Chucks

Chuck E. Cheese meets Chuck S. Lang.

The last dance, Happy 11th Monthday, Charlie...

It was our last Monthday celebration and it was bittersweet. Our little guy has turned into such a big guy that it breaks all of our hearts just a little bit.

Although he is a big guy now he still drools like a little guy, so we have that to hold on to...

Dragons and Fairies, oh my...

We had a great Halloween this year. Charlie was a Dragon and Georgia was a Fairy. We had a party here at our house and then Georgia and Tomme went off to a party at Ava and Ellie's house (friends of Georgia's from school and their Dad is a friend of Tomme's from high school). It was a fun and exciting day.

Also, Tomme was the most hilarious caveman I have ever seen. I have to find a picture of it because it was too funny

Happy 10th Monthday, Charlie...

He was cute and sweet on his big day...

Happy 432nd Monthday, Bobbie!

Yes it was my birthday today, and did we CELEBRATE! I was showered with fine gifts, good food, and great company! Georgia and Charlie love a good birthday (cake) party, so they planned an amazing evening.

Charlie was a gentleman and offered to cut the cake...

Once Charlie got his first taste of cake, he went insane. He was pulling at my arm for the next ten minutes, I guess him and Georgia have more in common then I thought.

Cute and yummy...
It was the best birthday ever, even if I am 432 months old!

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!

This past weekend we went on our annual trip to Gobberts's Pumpkin Patch. I would love to say it was nice fall weather, but that was not the case. It was a blazing 86 degrees and slightly unbearable. I am not sure what is up with the weather every time we go to the patch, but it is so unpredictable. Two years ago it was 85 degrees, and last year its was 45 degrees. I am just asking for some nice 60 degree weather, nonetheless, we had a smashing time.

Although it looks as though Charlie is under 2ft tall I can assure you he measured in at 28", just last month...

Even though I am not convinced of it, it looks as though Georgia has grown! Also, notice the difference in her attire, all thanks to the weather...

Obviously I jumped the gun when I donated all of Charlie's summer clothes, this is what I could dig up. As you can see he is clearly upset by his appearance!

Happy 9th Monthday, Charlie!

Well, the votes are in and all of you who voted were correct, the second picture was the one of Charlie's 7th Monthday. We celebrated Charlie's 9th Monthday today, and had some special guests, Grandma Ginnie and Poppers! We had lots of fun as you can see from the picture below.

Another festival, but this time it was for work, really!

As most of you know, after a 4-year hiatus I returned to work. I am a co-teacher in the 2nd grade classroom at St. Helen Catholic School. Georgia and Charlie spend their days with Ms. Cynthia, also Georgia started a new school, so Charlie is lucky to have date days with Grandma K. and Grandma Ginnie. Things are progressing smoothly, and the best part so far was the St. Helen Festival. The festival is to raise money for the school, so the Lang's packed up and headed out for a day of fun! We met up with Grandma and Grandpa K. and some of the Stanislawski's all of whom grew up in the hood and some of them even went to St. Helen!

Poor Tomme, him and Georgia went on this ride at least 10 times!

After a long nostalgic tour of the old neighborhood, Grandma K. promised Georgia a sundae, so here she is sitting at the bar at Leona's eating her sundae. What you can't see is Tomme sitting next to her enjoying his beer!

After we left we walked by our old condo and reminisced about the good old times.

Grandma Stanley

It wouldn't be right if I didn't mention Grandma Stanley. At 97, She was an amazing lady who truly touched everyone's life, she will be greatly missed. I am glad that I got to spend some very peaceful time with her this summer.

We Love you, and Charlie thanks you for such a great middle name!

Happy 7th and 8th Monthday, Charlie!

Our "little guy" is turning into a "big guy"! Charlie is doing so much we can hardly keep track of him. He decided that he was going to grow four teeth, start crawling, standing up, and talking! Time flies when you are having fun.

Sheboygan, WI REALLY is the vacation capital of the world!

Georgia, Charlie, and I took a mini-vacation in mid-July. We were joined by Grandma K., Auntie Ann, Auntie Cathy, Holly, and Holly's friend Kallie. We went to Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI and had lots of fun. Well, lots of fun after I saved Auntie Ann from being strangled by our seat belt, reassured Grandma K. that I would not talk to her unless absolutely necessary, was knocked back into my senses when I was "verbally slapped" by Auntie Ann after I tried to pack up and leave, and realized Auntie Cathy is really laid back. Fun times are detailed below...

Festival, anyone?

Ahhh, the Lang's like a good carnival (or festival as we like to call them). Some of the funniest moments from our summer are all thanks to a good ole' festival. We love the "good" food, fun rides, and new friends we always meet!
